Youth Art Month 2023: Your Art, Your Voice

Co-Curator for this Exhibition at BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD

March 18 - April 16, 2023



Spring 2023, I go the opportunity to work with someone else on creating an exhibition for Your Art Month at BlackRock Center for the Arts. I have been working there as a Patron Services Associate, and with my background in Art History (BA), I was asked to be a part of the creation of this years exhibition.


Youth Art Month is a month long exhibition that showcases artwork from a variety of schools from grades Kindergarten to 12th grade from the local community.


While the other curator worked more with the schools (coordinating), I got the opportunity to Design the:

  • Layout of the Exhibition

  • Layout of the Labels

  • Catalog

  • Promotional Materials

  • Certificates for the Students

I also participated in the opening reception, and created a fun collaborative art project.
