Education
Whether through school, personal experiences or professional experiences, I learn best in a project-based, hands-on environment. The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City was the perfect college for me. I wasn’t interested in fashion, but the degrees I completed provided skills and experiences that went beyond fashion. Since I graduated in 2014, I have been improving my skills in experience design and digital tools (SketchUp and AutoCAD) through personal projects and professional experiences.
ICE! - FractaVisual Designs
FractaVisual Designs was contracted to design and install a small museum-like exhibit on the Making of ICE!. This exhibition is designed to be a modular system to accommodate all four Gaylord Hotel and Resort locations (Orlando, Dallas, Nashville, and Washington, DC/Maryland).
As part of the creative team, my participation was at the beginning of the project during the design phase. I created the 3D models, provided input on design elements, laid out the details, and worked closely with Warren Kong on the design of the Ice Tables.
Design: 3D modeling, Design element input, Detailing
Tools: SketchUp with V-Ray rendering
Date: Late July to August 2018
Project Type: Professional
“Lauren’s work is amazing. Only to be upstaged by her work ethic. She is willing to jump in where needed and has great attention to detail. Personally she is a delight to be around and her digital design skills are top notch.”
- Nina Kong, Director of FractaVisual Designs
"[Lauren is] incredibly quick and efficient." - Morgane Keesling, Creative Director
